Our proyects

Veterinary Surgeons for Conservation
General Objective:
Create a national network of veterinary surgeons specializing in wildlife to provide free or low-cost surgical interventions to injured wild animals throughout the country. Specific Objectives:
Coordinate a network of volunteers with wildlife surgical training. Establish agreements with UMA (Wildlife Manegement Units), zoos, government institutions, and NGOs. Mobilize portable surgical teams to critical areas. Establish a solidarity fund to cover surgical supplies and transportation. Train young veterinarians in specialized surgical techniques.

The Wildlife Surgical Alliance – Mexico is an emerging network of veterinary surgeons committed to advancing orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery for wild animals across Mexico. This initiative seeks to connect skilled professionals with rescue centres, rehabilitation units, and conservation programmes in urgent need of specialist surgical support. To ensure sustainability and access, a dedicated fund will be established to support critical interventions, training, and equipment in remote or under-resourced regions. Grounded in collaboration, science, and ethical practice, the Alliance aims to build national capacity, respond to emergencies, and give wild animals a second chance—while fostering a community of excellence in wildlife veterinary surgery.

Internships in Veterinary Surgery in Mexico

Perfect for those looking to strengthen their professional profile while making a meaningful impact on animal welfare and global public health.

Courses
We offer immersive, hands-on courses in wildlife management, surgery, and clinical care designed for those who are truly committed to the wellbeing of wild animals. While we recognise the value of remote learning, we firmly believe that nothing can replace the depth of understanding, skill development, and ethical awareness that come from in-person training. Our face-to-face courses provide real-world experience with live cases, expert mentoring, and direct engagement with wildlife—an unparalleled opportunity to learn by doing, in settings where conservation becomes action.
